Here is the entry information for the 2017-18 North West Wales Netball League.
Due to the fewer number of games played during the 2016-17 season, we have been able to reduce the cost for existing teams (this is despite the cost of hall hire increasing this year). Fees for the 2017-18 season are therefore £230 for teams who played in the league during the 2016-17 season and £260 for new teams. As advanced warning, entry fees for the 2018-19 season will have to increase for all teams (from the normal £260).
Any new teams or teams who've lost their deposit are required to pay a £50 deposit, for all other teams the deposit has been rolled over from last season.
Please bring completed entry form(s) and cheque(s) to the Pen y Bryn pub in Colwyn Heights (meeting room downstairs) on Tuesday 29th August between 6pm-8pm. A committee meeting will follow immediately afterwards to arrange divisions and fixtures so entries must be made during this time.
Future correspondence will be sent to the person(s) named on the entry form.
Cheques will not be banked until 1st October at the earliest to enable teams to collect money from their players.
Cheques should be made payable to: North West Wales Netball.
All teams must name an umpire (with contact details and qualifications) on their team entry form.
There will be a league umpire training evening on 4th September for trainee umpires and mentors (location and time TBC). All unqualified umpires must attend. Qualified umpires who are not mentors are welcome to attend but it is not compulsory.
The league structure
The aim is to have three divisions (depending on the number of teams) and teams will play the other teams in their division twice.
North West Wales Association affiliation
There is also a form for affiliation to our area association at the bottom of this page. Fees are the same as last year (£4 per adult, £2 per junior).
Please note that the cheques for affiliation should be made payable to Conwy County Netball Association and the deadline for forms and cheques is 4th September.
All players also need to be affiliated to Welsh Netball and team sheets will be sent out after the entry form deadline.
Match balls - all teams need to provide their own match ball for every game so please make sure you have one before the start of the season.
Kit – all teams must wear full netball kit including skirt. Newly formed teams will be given one season before this rule applies.
Venues – we are hoping to use a fourth venue this season to enable more games to be played each week and so that the league can finish slightly earlier next year. Details will be confirmed once we know the number of teams entering the league. The additional venue is likely to be in Colwyn Bay.
An email with more details about the league including league rules, code of conduct and fixtures will follow in early September.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch using the Contact Us page.
